California Minimum Wage 2024 Healthcare. Effective june 1, 2024, the law raises the minimum wage for california healthcare employees and sets a new salary threshold for who is considered an exempt healthcare. To receive the higher minimum wage, workers must, (1) work for certain “health care facilities” that are covered in the new law and (2) provide health care services or support.
